Ingredients
- 1 large round loaf of bread (sourdough or artisan)
- 1 wheel of brie (8–12 oz)
- ½ cup cranberry sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 1 tsp fresh thyme leaves (plus extra for garnish)
- 1 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- Crackers or veggie sticks (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the Bread Bowl: Cut the top off the bread loaf and hollow out the center, leaving a thick shell. Save the bread pieces for dipping.
- Assemble the Brie: Place the brie wheel inside the hollowed bread bowl. Spread cranberry sauce over the top and sprinkle with thyme leaves.
- Brush the Bread: Brush the outer edges of the bread bowl with olive oil or melted butter for a golden crust.
- Bake: Place the bread bowl on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the brie is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish and Serve: Remove from the oven, garnish with extra thyme, and serve warm with bread pieces, crackers, or veggies.
Notes
- Make-Ahead Tip: Assemble the bread bowl in advance and refrigerate until ready to bake.
- Storage: Store leftovers in foil and refrigerate for up to 2 days. Reheat at 350°F (175°C) for 10-15 minutes.
