Ingredients

Pasta and Meat:

  • 12 oz (340g) pasta (fettuccine, penne, or rotini)
  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef

Seasonings:

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Alfredo Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp (28g) butter
  • 1 ½ cups (360ml) beef broth
  • 2 cups (480ml) heavy cream
  • 1 cup (100g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup (120g) shredded mozzarella cheese

Garnish:

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

1. Cook the Pasta

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
  • Cook the pasta according to the package instructions until al dente.
  • Drain and set aside.

2. Cook the Ground Beef

  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  • Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up, until browned and fully cooked (about 5-7 minutes).
  • Drain any excess grease.

3. Add Seasonings

  • Stir in minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and black pepper.
  • Cook for 1 minute until fragrant.

4. Make the Alfredo Sauce

  • Pour in beef broth and heavy cream, stirring well.
  • Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then stir in Parmesan and mozzarella cheese.
  • Continue stirring until the cheese is fully melted and the sauce is smooth.

5. Combine with Pasta

  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly in the sauce.
  • Let it simmer for 2 more minutes, allowing the flavors to meld.

6. Serve and Garnish

  • Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Pasta Choice: Fettuccine, penne, or rotini work best as they hold the creamy sauce well.
  • Storage: Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat with a splash of cream or milk.
  • Freezing: Freeze for up to 2 months in a sealed container. Thaw overnight in the fridge before reheating.
  • Make it Lighter: Use half-and-half instead of heavy cream for a less rich sauce.
  • Spicy Kick: Add red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce for extra heat.
