These brown sugar pork chops are a quick, flavorful, and satisfying meal that’s perfect for weeknights. With a caramelized crust and tender interior, they pair wonderfully with your favorite sides for a complete dinner.

Ingredients

  • 4 bone-in or boneless pork chops (1-inch thick)
  • 3 tbsp brown sugar
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Spice Rub
In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Season the Pork Chops
Rub the spice mixture evenly onto both sides of the pork chops.
  3. Cook the Pork Chops
Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Place the pork chops in the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until caramelized and browned.
  4. Finish Cooking
Lower the heat slightly and continue cooking for an additional 4-6 minutes, flipping once, until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
  5. Rest and Serve
Remove from heat and let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure perfectly cooked pork chops without overcooking.
  • If using thicker pork chops, increase the cooking time slightly.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad for a balanced meal.
