Ingredients

  • 12 oz (340 g) fettuccine or pasta of choice
  • 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups (475 ml) heavy cream
  • 1 cup (100 g) grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Pasta

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. Drain and set aside.

2. Cook the Shrimp

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

3. Make the Alfredo Sauce

  1. In the same skillet, melt butter over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the heavy cream, stirring occasionally, and bring to a gentle simmer.
  4. Mix in Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper, and cook for 3-5 minutes until the sauce thickens.

4. Combine Pasta and Shrimp

  1. Add the cooked pasta and shrimp to the skillet.
  2. Toss everything together until evenly coated in the sauce.

5. Serve

  1. Transfer to serving plates and garnish with parsley, if desired.
  2. Serve immediately and enjoy!

  • Pasta Options: Fettuccine is traditional, but linguine, spaghetti, or penne also work well.
