Description

Honey Mustard Baked Salmon is a quick and flavorful dish featuring tender, flaky salmon fillets coated in a tangy-sweet honey mustard glaze. Perfect for weeknight dinners or special occasions, this healthy recipe is simple to prepare and sure to impress.

Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp whole grain mustard (optional, for texture)
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped fresh parsley or dill (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Oven: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Make the Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard (if using), honey, olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  • Coat the Salmon: Place salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet. Spoon the honey mustard glaze evenly over each fillet.
  • Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  • Garnish and Serve: Optionally, sprinkle chopped parsley or dill on top before serving. Serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

  • Storage: Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days. Reheat gently in the oven at 300°F (150°C) or in a microwave to prevent drying out.
  • Freezing: Cooked salmon can be frozen for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
  • Customizations: Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick or extra lemon juice for a zesty flavor.
  • Serving Ideas: Pair with roasted vegetables, steamed asparagus, or a light salad for a complete meal.
